At a meeting with Sir Malcolm and Lady MacGregor, Sam Heughan, the actor who plays the hero Jamie Fraser in Outlander indicated how he and his fellow Outlander star Graham McTavish, who played Dougal MacKenzie, are making films about MacGregors and other clans in a series to be called Clan Lands.
We look forward to seeing Clan Lands when it is broadcast in 2020 and to more of Jamie’s adventures in the next Outlander series.
Clan Lands will encompass Scotland’s history, cultures, clans and landscapes and the initial films will focus on the MacDonalds, Campbells, Camerons, MacKenzies, Frasers and MacGregors. It was arranged that Peter, our historian, would meet Sam and Graham at the Pudrac Stone in Balquhidder on 22 September 2019.
