Lady MacGregor was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Glasgow University in Dumfries in July 2019. Sam Heughan, the star of Outlander was also a recipient, as he is from New Galloway. In the photo below, he is seated next to Lady MacGregor.
Apparently he was charming and charismatic.
As Lady MacGregor and our Chief Sir Malcolm were dressed in our tartan, he was really interested in Clan Gregor and wanted to know more about us.
I understand it was quite difficult to talk to him as Sam was quite popular with the other attendees who all wanted a photo with him.
Congratulations to Lady MacGregor. Or is it Dr Lady MacGregor?
